Description

In response to the social injustice permeating at the Supreme Court, I wanted to create a mesmerizing image of resistance. The raven pierces the void with his disapproving eyes. Open, unlike lady justice’s, he attaches his gaze onto the devastating decisions being bequeathed from on high.  Like Poe’s famous poem, the raven is powerless to act. He can only shame, and in a world without shame, his determination is still not inhibited. In our modern political landscape, we do not have to accept the Court who judges justice so unfairly. Though we may feel powerless, we do have agency in this fight, and perhaps we can guilt our officials into acting justly.
