When I scraped various mark-making tools over cold wax, I created the illusion of something written of old. Lately, I have been intrigued with the idea of music and language. What can be said with both together? The parallel lines resemble lines on notebook paper, while a musical mind may see the staves of a musical composition. Glimpses of quarter notes hum an eerie requiem, or perhaps belie the stylings of a vigorous handwritten essay. Depending on your perspective, this monochromatic painting creates a literary and a musical sense of expression.
