Description
This painting reminds me of Seurat’s “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,” both in color scheme and tone. As a classic depiction of leisure, my calm blue day evokes a similar sense of relaxation. Though I used oil and cold wax to create my effect, and Seurat used pointillism, both express the beauty of a lazy weekend next to the water. What could be more heavenly than that?
