Description
Couple of years back, I sailed/raced an MC sailboat on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, MN. I loved the feel of being on the lake and so close to the water. At that time, it was a diversion, somewhat of a release for my soul. This painting expresses the exhilaration but also on some days it would be extremely windy. It prepared me for emergencies such as breaking a boom, having to let go of the sail, leap to the front of the boat, grab the rope and tie off on the buoy which was too close to the shore. Practice, practice. But I got it and learned that even though the winds blow, with practice it can be conquered.
