Working with cold wax as a medium mixed in with your oil paints is an exciting and new way to expand your experience with using different tools that can relate to and enhance your skill with painting with oils. Just using this technique to paint large fields of grasses and layering for depth will give you the skills you need for all of your painting. We will also learn some color theory, composition and use of a limited palette.
And the different tools we use! Brayers, chopsticks, window squeegees, found objects and other tools to work with the layers of paint we put down. If you love texture, you will love this great way of creating it in your paintings.
