Looking for something unique, one-of-a-kind and original art? How about the stories that are behind how the art is created and the process involved? The 2023 Studio ArTour is a perfect way to experience and shop inspired artwork from many different artists. Painters, potters, metal work, jewelry, textiles and glass.
We open our studios to the public on the first weekend in October (in 2023: Oct 6, 7 & 8) and invite you to come out and see where and how we work!
In 2023, we will celebrate the 19th year of putting on the tour! Featuring 18 studios and 33 artists. The artists are glad to answer questions and provide information about the art, AND some studios will have demonstrations as a learning opportunity behind the process.
The range of work is amazing. At Tolle Fine Art there is original paintings of different subject matter. Some impressionistic, some abstract and some in-between. Tolle Fine Art is Studio #4, located in downtown Northfield, MN. New location and larger space.

August 5 & 6th — A favorite workshop class consisting of collage and mixed media (sharing our supplies and techniques). If you are a beginner, you will end up loving this creative and ever-expanding materials and ideas for future work.
Date: FRIDAY, AUG 5 and SATURDAY, AUG 6. Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price Per Day: $10. I would like a $10 fee from each person for use and setting up of the studio. I will not be teaching but will be participating and facilitating.
Please send an email if attending. These workshops fill up fast and maximum are 8 students or less.
There are many supplies that I can share such as glue sticks, matte medium, decorative papers, and a box full of colored mat boards for adhering your finished work to. But would ask that you come prepared with your own supplies, papers, etc. to share. I also have supplies that you can buy from me if you decide you want to collage on different substrates (such as cradled panels or watercolor paper).
You can use the time to make your own papers, prepare them in different ways (which we will discuss using glue, cutting out, etc, and come up with ideas and learn and have so much fun!
At the end of the session, we gather together and talk about our ideas, our finished artwork and materials.
Painting in this technique of adding different mediums together has led me to a better understanding of the viscosity and “paint slip” over the canvas. Large brushes, working fast and spontaneity of strokes to achieve “action” painting is exciting and leads to more exploration. We…
