JULY 16 & 17, 2022 Intro to Oil & Cold Wax
Date: SAT & SUN. Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Price: $225.
INCLUDES: Cold Wax, oil paint, tools and (2) prepared of different substrates and sizes of oil paper to get you started. Best to have 3-4 prepared paintings to work with at the same time because of drying time. Please contact me for a full supply list. There will be some prep beforehand that I will provide (1) zoom class to explain the process and what you will need to bring to class.
We Explore:
- mark making with different and diverse tools
- hands on mixing of color
- the use of neutral colors using additional mediums added in such as galkyd gel and meglip
- the use of edges in your work

Attend either of these or both. We meet at 502 Studio and explore collage making with different materials. We share, discuss, and create with each other.
A favorite workshop class consisting of collage making (sharing our supplies and techniques). If you are a beginner, you will end up loving this creative and ever expanding materials and ideas for future work.
Date: WEDNESDAYS. Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price Per Day: $10. I would like a $10 fee from each person for use and setting up of the studio. I will not be teaching but will be participating.
Please send an email if attending. These workshops fill up fast and maximum are 8 students or less.
There are many supplies that I can share such as glue sticks, matte medium, decorative papers, and a box full of colored mat boards for adhering your finished work to. But would ask that you come prepared with your own supplies, papers, etc. to share. I also have supplies that you can buy from me if you decide you want to collage on different substrates (such as cradled panels or watercolor paper).
You can use the time to make your own papers, prepare them in different ways (which we will discuss using glue, cutting out, etc, and come up with ideas and learn and have so much fun!
At the end of the session, we gather together and talk about our ideas, our finished artwork and materials.
