Oil Painting Basics
This class is for beginners or those who have been away from painting for a while. We will set up a still life and learn to paint in oils from the beginning.

My objective in painting is to capture the essence of my subject as simply possible, to paint how the subject feels to me. I am inspired every day by fleeting moments of family life, the shifting colors of the landscape and all the beauty in the ordinary.
I went back to school full time for 3 years at The Atelier (formerly Atelier Lack) in Minneapolis; and followed that with workshop and studio study with several great artists I admire. I am only now beginning to hear the whisper of my own painting voice and gain the courage to express and share it.
